Welcome to our Oceanfront Penthouse Condo Albatros, a vacation rental in charming and quaint Bucerias, Mexico right on the beach of Banderas Bay on the Mexican Riviera. This condo and its beachside location are utterly spectacular.
Our condo is one of only five, full floor units located right on the wide and sandy beach in the Golden Zone of Bucerias. We have a totally unobstructed view of the ocean! Here the water is clean and clear, and the beach especially near us is only spotted with people. Our place is perfect for couples or for families. From any window in the condo you have marvelous views. You are sure to see pelicans, fisherman in their boats, spectacular sunsets—and if you are lucky, you might even spot dolphins and whales. Many birds fly right by at eye level, and the palm tree tops gently rustle outside of the window or balcony. With our superb location, you are only a short beach walk right into the fishing village of Bucerias.
2600 SF. Living Space
Our condo is very user friendly. It has approximately 2600 square feet of Living Space and an additional large, ocean- front balcony extending across the entire end of the unit. Comfortable floor to ceiling sliding glass doors fully open across the entire back of the unit onto the large balcony, overlooking the pool, the beach and the blue ocean. Very expansive views! Fully Screened too!
Only 5 Units in Building
Our building is exclusive and unusual because it only has only a total of five units, one oceanfront unit per floor. The building has an elevator. Our complex is very private (gates help provide privacy and security.) A beach door near the pool takes you directly onto the beach. A secure covered parking area providing adjacent to the Building one space to park a vehicle.
The entire condo has just been newly painted and is in tip-top shape! It has been used only a handful of times. The master bedroom, living room area and dining room area all have full ocean views. Gentle breezes and the sound of the surf complete the picture. The 30 foot high palapa roof/ceiling with its beautiful hanging Mexican crafted lights and chandeliers help keep the breezes flowing through the condo. How nice to have natural AC! We also have AC in the Bedroom areas for the warmer days.
King Bedrooms
The condo has three bedrooms, all with King beds, dressers, and spacious closets. Each bedroom has ceiling fans and air conditioner. Beautiful handmade Mexican onyx lamps gently light the rooms on the bedside tables. Paintings in the condo were done by our Mexican friend and painter, Blanca Borbolla, including a beautiful sunset scene from the balcony of the master bedroom. In addition to the beautiful decorations, each bedroom has its own palapa-roof balcony accessible through sliding glass doors. They afford spectacular views both day and night. The master bedroom has an ensuite tiled bathroom; the other two bedrooms also each have their own tiled baths, outside of each bedroom door. All bathrooms have granite countertops. Open the shower windows to hear the sound of the crashing surf. A real treat!
Fully Equiped
Our condo is equipped with everything you could think of in modern conveniences, luxury and comfort. The common living area has a comfortable living room section next to the large sliding doors. The living room wall is decorated with lovely Mexican plates, artfully arranged in a wave-like pattern. There is also another area for 60inch TV watching, with a comfortable couch. Artwork throughout the condo has been carefully chosen and purchased from local artisans, such as the sparkling and colorful stained glass mirror.
The Kitchen
The condo’s kitchen has all brand new stainless steel appliances as well as granite countertops. There is a dishwasher with water purifiers have been installed in the kitchen. The kitchen is very well appointed. Enjoy a drink using the lovely Mexican glasses seated at the breakfast bar. Or, enjoy making a simple snack or a full Mexican dinner – there are even cookbooks to use!
Adjacent to the kitchen is a conveniently located washer and dryer for the convenience of the guests. These appliances are also brand new.
Purified Water Throughout
Every faucet and shower in the condo has fully purified and drinkable water, The condo has whole house UV Purification system for the water system. This ensure you are safe if you choose occasionally to drink aqua water rather than cereveqa! It also allow you to use our water to wash any fresh vegitable you buy at the local market.
Dinning
There are many spots to enjoy your meals and drinks in the condo. Take your glass or plate and enjoy the privacy of your bedroom deck. Or, sit at the breakfast bar in the kitchen and watch a chef prepare a full Mexican feast for you. (Arrangements can be made through our property caretaker and your host.) Sit at the large, square, glass top dining room table next to the open balcony for a group of eight. Or, of course you can enjoy the ocean breeze and spectacular views as you dine on the oceanfront balcony!
The Pool
The grounds of Condo Albatros include a large, grassy area in the back of the property, a covered eating area in the front near the pool, and a convenient outdoor bathroom close to the pool. The pool actually sits right on the beach, over hanging the sand and waves when the tide in specially high. The pool surrounded by lounge chairs, drink tables and umbrellas. It is just steps down to the beach through the private beach door, parking is adjacent to the condo.
Folks ask us if a car is a necessity while staying at Condo Albatros. While nice to have, we do not feel that it is a necessity to rent a car. We do have the aforementioned parking space for one car if you decide to rent one. On foot you can reach a mini-super (Mary Paz) just two minutes away where you can buy just about everything you might need. In addition, there are fruit and veggie shops in Bucerias as well as fish and meat markets. Delicious bakeries abound. All of these places are accessible by foot and are fun to go to for food and goodies. For larger shopping needs, it is easy to take the local bus to Mega Supermarket, a large grocery store just five minutes away on the bus. It is easy and entertaining to ride the Mexican buses, and it is a close walk to the bus stop from our condo to get on a bus which will take you to points north and south, of course including Puerto Vallarta.
Summer - No Crowds and Big Discounts
Consider coming to Bucerias and staying in our condo during the summer months of May through October. Then the pace is slow. The restaurants and shops are less crowded and the beaches are empty. It is also a lot less expensive –money goes further! Enjoy a Mexican summer vacation!
Local Caretaker and Management
We consider ourselves very lucky to have a wonderful Mexican man, Jorge, as our property caretaker. He will personally greet you, and he will help you settle in. He can guide you in your restaurant selection and give you tour suggestions, or help you find medical care in the unfortunate case you need it. He can arrange for transportation or even find a chef to come to Condo Albatros and cook up a feast for you. He is easily and readily available as he lives and works very close by.
Charming Bucerias
Bucerias is a village that has retained its Mexican charm, filled with great folks, and a friendliness and “laid-backness” second to none. It has the most wonderful sandy beach that stretches for miles and is sparsely populated, and the beach is dotted with a whole variety of beach-side restaurants. Bucerias has a genuine small town, Mexican flair with its market, Sunday night family night on the town square, the first day of spring children’s parade , its lovely community church—really too many things to mention here. All can be found in Bucerias – coffee shops, churro stands, tacos in the square, art galleries, mini super markets, meat and fish markets, bus stops going north and south, pharmacies, English speaking doctors and dentists, and a large grocery store a mere five minutes away. All these things are well within easy walking distance of our condo.
