The Sandbar at 9 Guscio Way is an exquisite, ultra luxurious, 7000 sq.ft., eight  bedroom, eight-bath oceanfront estate located in a gorgeous private brick courtyard in North Forest Beach. 
Our home has just been redecorated by Hilton Head's top designer to produce the ultimate vacation experience whether it be a large family or friend gathering or a spectacular romantic getaway for two.
 
When you enter through the beautiful mahogany doors you are welcomed by the breathtaking, 180 degree floor to ceiling view of the ocean. This unbelievable home offers travertine floors and granite countertops throughout and sleeps 21 in pillowtop luxury.
 
The incredible great room with 180 degree views of the ocean is beautifully decorated with a 50'  HDTV with DVD and fireplace surrounded by large plush seating. 
 
In the gourmet kitchen you'll find a large granite island facing the ocean with seating for 8, two jenn-air convection/conventional ovens and cook top, built-in wine storage, two bosch dishwashers, two sinks with disposals and a stand alone ice maker. From anywhere in the kitchen you'll be entranced by the views of the beach and ocean. Outside is a large porch with white rockers, grill and gorgeous ocean views.
 
The dining room with floor to ceiling windows creates the perfect oceanfront dining experience regardless the time of day. The beautiful inlaid wood dining room table easily seats 12 with room for more. 
The first of two bedrooms on the first floor offers a luxurious pillowtop king bed, flat screen HDTV and full bath with shower that offers a private or hall access.
In the second bedroom, a master suite, you will find a gorgeous woven sea grass king pillowtop bed. The master bath offers a large spa tub, travertine shower,  his and her granite sink area as well as a large walk-in closet.
Completing this floor is the first of two laundry rooms. 
 
On the second level you find the grande master suite (3rd BR) with a breathtaking ocean view, a majestic four poster pillowtop bed, plush oceanfront sitting area, beautiful desk and armoire with HDTV. The master bath complete with bidet and 2 walk-in closets, has a peninsula spa tub, his and her sinks and an open stone shower with rainhead and massage shower heads. Double doors and open shower are handicap accessible.. You have to make sure to take some time for yourself on the spacious oceanfront balcony with white rockers.. perfect for watching the sunrise with a warm cup of coffee or tea. 
 
The third master suite (4th BR) shares this balcony and has a wall of windows to capture the beauty of the ocean. This master offers a beautiful iron scroll king pillowtop bed, HDTV and private bath. 
 
The fifth bedroom offers two matching pillowtop queen beds in beautiful bamboo frames. The large private bath has all the grandeur of a master bath with spa tub, dual sinks surrounded by granite and large separate stone shower. 
 
The whimsical sixth bedroom is perfect for 2 adults or 4 lucky children with 2 twin beds, each with it's own pull out trundle bed. HDTV and private bath.
 
On the third floor landing you are welcomed by a large inviting reading area with plush leather seating and desk. This floor is a home within a home offering a 2nd full kitchen including a full size refrigerator, dishwasher and dining table as well as a 2nd washer and dryer.
 
The 7th bedroom which is on this floor offer 2 comfortable pillowtop queen beds in a large room big enough for cribs, or pack and plays..The ensuite bathroom is large a sunny with double sinks, jacuzzi and walk in traverine shower.
 
The 2nd family room around the corner is another spacious living area with 2 pillow top twin beds that can be made in to a king upon request, pull out Queen sofa, and 2 twin pull out chairs. This room is warmed by the 2nd fireplace and offers   children's games,puzzles and books, and big screen HDTV. There is another full bath with walk in shower for the convenience of those using this room.Stepping outside you will find a balcony with white rockers and the most unbelievable view.
 
As you travel back downstairs and step outside you will begin your vacation memories with one of the largest pools with attached hot tub on the island which can be heated for an additional fee. There are several lounge chairs, an 8 person dining table with umbrella as well as a chat area which is perfect for hors d'ouevres. Walk down one of the only private beach walks in north forest beach to the best beach area on the island.
 
You will find a high chair, pack and play crib, and irons and ironing boards for your convenience as well as wireless internet service.
 
The elevator accesses every floor and we offer complimentary tennis at the beautiful Van Der Meer Club at Shipyard,. You will have access to one free hour per day on any one of their 17 indoor or outdoor courts. It is the only facility that offers indoor courts in the Hilton Head area.

Russ and I live at the shore in New Jersey with our 4 boys and we all look forward to the summer when we can golf and go to the beach. We discovered Hilton Head 20 years ago when I surprised my husband with a birthday trip there. We had such a wonderful week that we bought a timeshare and started bringing family and friends every year. We love trying new places but kept finding that we wanted to go to Hilton Head at least once a year. We eventually bought this house on the ocean so that we could be close to golf and still be right at the beach for anyone who wasn't golfing and also for those to enjoy when they finish their rounds. Our boys now try to go down with friends at least once a year as well as all of us gathering for at least one family trip. It is the perfect house for large family gatherings because it has areas to escape and be on your own as well as the large open great room for everyone to be together. Very nice house and comfortable for up to 8 couples


Excellent location and very cozy place. Caretaker was very helpful . Heating on the main level was not functional the first night, but they fixed it the next day. I understand the home owners are going to replace with a new unit . Very satisfied overall.

A wonderful place for a family gathering


This was our second time in this lovely house and we had a wonderful week with family. We were blessed with sunny weather and it was so nice to be able to walk out the door and be on the beach. The home owner was very responsive and accommodating. If we ever have the opportunity to come back to Hilton Head, I will choose this house!
