This luxury home is located West of interstate-5 on desirable Mount Soledad near Pacific Beach & La Jolla's beaches, restaurants, bars, and night life. Don't be fooled by listings East of i-5 (which are often less safe & desirable). Experience outdoors in the heart of San Diego at this million dollar home!
 
The home rests atop a QUIET canyon in an exclusive cul-de-sac. No LOUD groups/RVs/Trailers: read the rules.

The space
This luxury home is 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and 3 stories. It is spacious with 2172 square feet (that's 201.7+ square meters) of living area. Why get hotel rooms? Everyone can stay here with beds & you have a large great room to gather with an attached deck. The kitchen is central to the great room with a clear line of site to everything in the main level of the house from the couch to the bay-view window. The couch is a generous four-part electric reclining sectional sofa. You can step outside from there or the kitchen onto the main deck from one of our large sliding doors. We have an outdoor BBQ and seating for 12 there. Feel free to grill outside with a view of the bay & Sea World! You just don't get that in a hotel. Keep in mind, the measurements above do not include the attached garage. The garage can be additional space for your car, and storage for all the shopping that you can do at the many stores, boutiques, malls, or outlets around here.
 
Two levels, including the great room and guest master suite, have south facing bay views overlooking Coronado, downtown, Seaworld, and portions of the ocean. Look out over the town & take in its beauty before you explore all San Diego has to offer.
 
To help you with those adventures, we also provide you with some beach towels, two 8 foot long foam surf boards, two beach chairs, and two boogie boards. Take some time with your group to enjoy Tourmaline beach - just a short ride down the hill!
 
Guest access
The entire home including the backyard is accessible to guests. If you have guests that prefer not to use stairs, the ground-level bedroom suite with expansive ocean views is convenient and on the same level as the garage.
 
Since most of our bedrooms have a spare twin bed underneath the main beds - there are 10 mattresses and there is couch space to sleep everyone in your group.
 
The open concept great room is one level downstairs from the ground floor garage and guest suite. The great room has that comfortable nearly fold-flat electric reclining couch we mentioned. Several people can sleep easily there, if they don't feel like leaving the great room level to a level with a bedroom. You can cook in the kitchen and participate with the group by the couch, the bar area, the group in the dining area, or open up the window at the sink and talk to those nearby outside. The top deck is right there, and it has the BBQ and outdoor seating we mentioned. You can host the whole family and grill from here with a view of San Diego Bay!
 
The lower level bedrooms all have locking sliders with a common deck. Wash off the beach with the body sprayers and multi-headed shower in the en-suite master bathroom, and soak the cares of your day away in the master jacuzzi tub or turn on the jets for a massage. Let the kids, your other guests, or the rest of the group use the separate common bathroom that services the other bedrooms in the lower level. If you happen to have a little one, you can bring down the portable bassinet from the garage into the downstairs master (plenty of open space & the bathroom has a separate make-up vanity that will double as a changing station). This place has it all.
 
The backyard is lush, natural and rustic. If you want to explore our piece of the canyon: Just use caution when going down the spiral staircase to the 3rd, lowest level deck. Also keep in mind, in the off chance of rain, we will have a small water run-off creek that borders the back fence of the backyard on the lowest level, and this creek is well below our hillside home. Read the rules about using the decks, be wise, and be courteous to our neighbors. Most of all have fun and stay classy in San Diego!
 
Other things to note
Air conditioning is NOT available in the main part (lower 2 levels) of the house. However, there is an air conditioning (cooling & heating) unit in the wall of the garage level guest suite (top level). Let the ocean breeze, fans, and central ventilation system ("cool" setting) bring in the cooler & canyon-shaded air, for the lower 2 levels of the house. If you happen to be staying in the summer, recommend only using the vent ("cool" setting) during the cooler mornings & evenings in those downstairs areas; otherwise, there is usually no need to use the fans and central ventilation during the other seasons of the year.
 
We also do have central heating on ALL levels for the mild and cooler winter season. This is the "heat" setting on our separately controlled, multi-zone, thermostat system.
The kitchen is equipped with common appliances: fridge/freezer, oven, stove, toaster oven, microwave, rice cooker, sink, and dishwasher.
This truly is a space where you can host the whole family, team, or just spread out and feel at home!.

I would definitely recommend


This Place in San Diego is absolutely amazing. Relatively close to the airport and super close to Pacific Beach! We did a group Birthday and it was an excellent weekend with our friends. The house is very spacious and it’s very clean and nice. I would definitely recommend staying here and I would definitely rent from them again. Thanks! :)

Large accommodations for family gatherings. Plenty of dishes and glasses. Lots of extra mattresses. We had plenty of sleeping space. Great view from upstairs bedroom. Easy to get anywhere in San Diego. Very responsive owners. Addressed a minor concern immediately. Would recommend.
