We enjoyed our stay in Maine. If you are looking for something that isn’t a touristy location. But has peace , quiet and a gorgeous location this would be our location. Bonnie was helpful with any questions and had wonderful suggestions. If we are ever in the area we would stay here again.
We loved staying at Bonnie and Mark\'s carriage house. The apartment was cozy and comfy. We arrived after 5 days/nights on the road. It was so nice to settle into a homey situation instead of a hotel room. We did not cook while we were there but the kitchen seemed well stocked with everything one may need to prepare full meals including sugar, spices and some coffee. Mark greeted us as soon as we arrived and gave us some delicious restaurant suggestions. There is also a list of restaurant and attraction suggestions on the refrigerator. Our only regret is that we couldn\'t stay longer.
We loved our stay at this seaside carriage house. The cottage was decorated beautifully, so homey and cozy. The weather was awesome for 6 out of 7 days we were there. The 1 day it rained we stayed in and listened to the rain; even that was enjoyable as Bonnie and Mark have supplied everything you need to be comfortable.! Watching the sunrise over the water each morning and listening to the seagulls was the highlight of our day. The pictures on line describe the cottage and property perfectly. We did a lot of exploring in Acadia, MDI, the Schoodic Peninsula, and drove to Lubec one day. Bonnie\'s suggestion to hike Gorham Mt. was great, and we also hiked Beech Mt. to the old firetower. Jordan Pond was awesome, and the drive up Cadillac Mt was fun with a panoramic view once you get up there. We ate dinner out most nights, but the kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to cook. We ate a lot of lobster; had dinner at the Bar Harbor Reading room for our 16th wedding anniversary, one night at the Crocker House Country Inn, Jack Russell steak house, and Bella Vita italian. All are recommended! We would love to come visit again and thank Bonnie and Mark for opening their home to us. We had a terrific time!!
My husband and I had a wonderful time visiting Maine and staying in this lovely carriage house. Very well maintained. Very clean. The kitchen was well stocked. The second I walked in the door I knew it was going to be a fantastic stay. Lot\'s to see in the area. Schoodic Penninsula, Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor . . just some highlights of where we explored. It\'s about an hour drive to Acadia but well worth it - it\'s a beautiful drive. Bonnie was always quick to respond to our questions and left a list on the fridge of some of their favorite places to visit. We did most of them and were not disappointed!!! A perfect place for two. Highly recommend!!!! Beautiful views of the Gouldsboro bay from the bedroom, bathroom and living room windows. A small dock with Adirondack chairs to sit and watch the wildlife. Jordan Pond in Acadia is a must see!!!! Gorham Mountain Trail in Acadia was our favorite trail.
