Spend evenings enjoying a meal with candle light and watch the cruise ships as they pass on the horizon. Walk the most beautiful 2.5 mile white sand beach holding hands with your honey, often by yourselves.
 
Take an evening walk on this fantastic beach, under a starry, moonlit sky holding hands with your loved one hearing only the waves lapping the sandy shore and your own voices.
 
The beach is rock free and so is the water. Kids can safely dig & build sand castles until their hearts are content.
 
The water is child friendly being shallow with a white sand bottom free of sea grass.
 
Enjoy a lunch on your private patio with 6 seater patio table and umbrella; grill your own on the gas grill on the patio or 'take-in' as you please.
 
Further Details: All 3 bedrooms each have a Queen Size bed.Downstairs bedroom has a connecting bathroom.with a bath/shower combination. Upstairs js a  full size bthroom with a very large shower stall..
 
The cottage is on a quiet street away from the main road.
 
Although I was born in Nassau, Bahamas, my Father was born in Spanish Wells.
 
As a child I enjoyed virtually every Summer Holiday staying here for weeks at a time with my Grand Mother. Some of my most treasured childhood memories are of these times in Spanish Wells with family and friends.
 
I consider myself very fortunate to have been able to purchase this beautiful cottage & property that all residents agree is located on the absolute 'best' part of the 'Northside beach'
 
Once you have stayed here you will agree!
 
About The Owner: I am 61 years old and a business owner in partnership with my brother. I enjoy most of all spending time at the cottage relaxing on the beach with a good book. I work very hard and find these little breaks most gratifying.

Having spent so much of my childhood years vacationing here and this being one of the most beautiful locations in The Bahamas, I jumped at the opportunity.

I was born in Nassau, Bahamas. As a child I spent most Summers in Spanish Wells, home of my Father. I was exceptionally fortunate to have the opportunity to purchase Island Waves. My wife & I enjoyed making it what it is today, a lovely vacation rental Beach house fully equipped. We hope that you enjoy it as much as we do.

We really enjoyed our stay, we loved the beach. It was perfect for my little one. The small island is beautiful and fun. We left just before hurricane Dorian hit. I hope it did not effect Spanish wells. Thank you for letting stay a Island Waves. Johnny was also very accommodating.

Perfect location.


Mr. Vaughn Higgs (owner) and Mr. Johnny Underwood would extremely helpful in getting us everything we needed. To truly get the full experience of the surrounding areas is to rent a boat and golf cart from Mr. Johnny. Being right on the water with our private beach was fabulous. Would definitely rent this place again if we get the chance to come back. Do be prepared for salt water showers : )

The Beach House


Island Waves is a true Beach House. It is a very spacious home right on a private shallow crystal clear water soft sandy beach in the very quaint island of Spanish Wells. Beautiful ????? sunrise. The location is great. A quick golf cart ride gets you everywhere: to Kathy’s Bakery, the supermarket, the marina, and Papa Scoops for ice cream. We ate a great breakfast at Wreckers located at the marina and had my Starbucks coffee fix. Some friends also said Eagles Landing was good for breakfast although we didn’t make it there. For dinner, we went to Shipwreck a few nights which was great every time. We also ventured on a 10 minute golf cart ride to the SandBar on Russell Island for a sunset dinner. Also great! We did a day trip to Preachers Cave and Harbour Island, home of pink sands beach. Unforgettable views!!! This was my second visit to Spanish Wells and definitely not my last. A special place indeed with very friendly people that welcome you everywhere you go.

Location,location,location


The location of this property on the North side beach is perfect. I stayed here with my family of 5 and my parents. My children loved being able to walk out to the beach and the water was shallow for about 300 ft. We also took day trips to feed the turtles, pigs, fish and snorkel. The location of this property was very close to the Food store and shops and restaurants. Check in was a breeze as the care taker was waiting at the dock for us when we arrived. The home itself was very comfortable and well decorated. Highly recommend.
