Welcome to Deep Creek Lake, Maryland. Rock Haul overlooks Deep Creek Lake and accommodates up to 12 persons. It is family and pet friendly (with fee). It is located on a lovely wooded lot with a view of the lake from the large covered porch. The dock slip accommodates one boat at a community dock. It has 3 levels, with 2 bedrooms and a recreation room on the lower level; living, dining, and kitchen on main level, and 4 bedrooms above. There is a bath on each level. Rock Haul is available for rent year round for you to enjoy the many activities available at beautiful Deep Creek Lake - boating, swimming, fishing, skiing (downhill and cross country), hiking, horseback riding, or just relaxing. These properties are near to Maryland's premier State parks - Deep Creek Lake, Swallow Falls, Harrington Manor, New Germany, and the beautiful and rugged Savage River State Forest. Wisp Ski Resort and the Outdoor Adventure Center with its man made whitewater course is within 15 -20 min. Deep Creek has become the State's finest four-season resort area, as many people are discovering.

Why John and Kathy Joyce chose North Glade Hills
We bought this property at Deep Creek because of our interest in cross county skiing and teaching people the sport. The many recreational activities on the lake and many State Parks and Forests in the area make it an ideal vacation spot. We had the house built, and now rent it after we have retired. It was designed to accommodate a large group of people comfortably.
What makes this Cabin unique
The house has a beautiful view of the lake from the covered porch which covers the main floor facing the lake. The lake front across the cove from us is kept in natural forest and will never be developed. We have a boat slip at a community dock in front of the house where you can swim and fish. There is a picnic area with tables, gas grill, charcoal grill and fire pit, and a nice lake view.

Loved the property


This house was perfect for our family. They also allowed us to bring our dogs. It was a short walk for our kids to swim off the dock and for our dogs to go swimming as well. It was fully equipped with everything to meet our needs. We look forward to spending another week next year at this property.

Family Celebrates the Holidays in Style


Rock Haul was the perfect place for our family to come together to share an early celebration of Christmas. Six bedrooms and three baths were ideal for our situation. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. No one was concerned about being the last one to shower because there was always plenty of hot water. We awoke Saturday morning to an ice covered world. No one cared. In fact, we all enjoyed having breakfast while admiring the beauty of the trees and speculating on whether or not the ice fishermen on the lake really knew what they were doing. A wide variety of board games and DVD\'s, not to mention cable TV gave all of us entertainment options. We ate all our meals at Rock Haul. A well stocked, large kitchen made meal preparation easy. We also appreciated the fact that all eleven of us could sit comfortably around the dining room table. If busy work and school schedules can be coordinated in 2017, we all voted to return to Rock Haul. We had a wonderful time!!!

Great Family Vacation Place


Loved this place for our group of two couples, one mother with a baby, and a grandmother with three school age grandchildren. The ground floor apartment with two bedrooms, bath, and family room provided separate sound-proof quarters for the grandmother and school age kids, and the adults and baby were undisturbed on the top floor. There is direct access to the dock, where the kids had a great time playing (with adult supervision). The kitchen is big and well furnished, and the fire pit area was a hit. It\'s reasonably close to the beach at Deep Creek state park. There aren\'t other activities for kids close by. For boaters, it would be ideal.

Rock Hall on Deep Creek


The Joyce home at Rock Hall met the needs of my family for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation. The house is well maintained and comfortable. John Joyce is very easy to deal with. We used the MD State Park pass to visit Swallow Falls and Deep Creek Lake State Parks. I launched our boat at Deep Creek Lake SP, which is a short ride from the house. The boat dock at the house is convenient and equipped with a ladder for swimming in the lake. The cove area is great for kayaking as well. We golfed at nearby Fantasy Valley at WISP, checked out the man-made whitewater course at the top of the mountain, attended the Garrett County Fair which happened to be that week. And of course we spent much time exploring the lake. An enjoyable time, enhanced by the comfortable home.
