Mariposa Garden Treehouses
Enjoy the luxury and adventure of staying in one of our six newly renovated treehouses. Each expansive treehouse is nestled amongst the jungle garden on Mariposa’s 3 acres and features its own 180 square foot veranda with hammock and seating to enjoy watching the many varieties of birds, butterflies, iguanas, and other wildlife.
 
Our treehouse accommodations are located just a short scenic walk on the property to the Caribbean Sea, restaurant, bar, and oceanfront pool.
 
Garden Treehouse #1
Our Garden Treehouse 1 features 1 queen and a set of bunk beds to comfortably accommodate a maximum of 4 persons with top-of-the-line bamboo linens. This expansive treehouse is nestled amongst the Jungle Garden on Mariposa’s 3 acres.
 
This 380 square foot treehouse is tastefully decorated with local art, Belizean hardwood floors, and furniture. Each unit has a 50-inch smart TV with streaming services, phone, private bathroom, oversized raindrop shower, hand wand, granite double sink vanity, built-in wardrobe, iron, hairdryer, toiletries, and top-of-the-line towels and bathrobes. Our 1-bedroom Penthouse Suite 10 is the newest addition to Mariposa. This Caribbean-facing room with a king-size bed overlooks the pool and the Caribbean Sea and is located on the 2nd level of Mariposa’s 6,000 square foot main building.
 
This 950 square feet 1-bedroom oceanfront penthouse suite is tastefully decorated with Belizean furniture and art. The bedroom has a private spa-style bathroom, oversized raindrop shower, plus a hand wand and includes toiletries, top-of-the-line towels, bathrobes, a built-in wardrobe, an iron, and a hairdryer. Additional features include a separate living room with an open beam ceiling, full kitchen, full-size refrigerator, four-burner gas stove, Keurig with pods for tea and coffee, microwave, and a toaster oven. Your confidence and trust are important to us. When booking directly on our site, you are booking with confidence and peace of mind.
 
Your required booking deposit is 50%. The balance of your stay is due 30 days prior to check-in during peak season (November-April) and holidays. If you have uncertainty or concerns due to COVID-19 or other related issues, Contact Us to discuss available options.
 
If your trip is cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, including but not limited to quarantine, hospitalization, or travel restrictions, we will issue you a full refund or apply your deposit to a future stay for up to 16 months at the same rate. The choice is yours!
 
If your trip is cancelled for any other reason, our standard cancellation policy applies:
Peak Season (November-April) 30 Day Cancellation Notice Required for a refund. If we can re-sell your room, we will gladly issue a refund. Otherwise, we will work with you to change the dates for a future booking.
 
Non-Peak Season (May-October) 3 Day Cancellation Notice Required for a refund. If we can re-sell your room, we will gladly issue a refund. Otherwise, we will work with you to change the dates for a future booking.
 
Holidays: The weeks of Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s require a 60-Day Cancellation Notice for a refund. If we can re-sell your room, we will gladly issue a refund.
 
Mariposa Belize Beach Resort Cancellation Policies on 3rd party websites differ due to commissions and contractual obligations. Generally, bookings on 3rd party websites are non-cancellable 30 days prior to arrival.

My family enjoyed our stay and Mariposa Belize Beach Resort


The view was amazing from the beach/restaurant! The accommodations were clean, well kept, and more upscale for a treehouse type lodging. The pool was a good size and there were plenty of lounging areas. The staff were all very friendly and kind. Mr.Lewis, the owner, even offer to bring a library book we left behind back to the states with him and mailed it to us free of charge! That really saved us and was definitely going above and beyond for a guest!

Everything about this property was great. super friendly staff, immaculately kept grounds, super clean. far enough from the business of Placencia to be relaxing and quiet, yet close enough to go by bike or rented golf cart.

Wonderful Comfortable Relaxing Mariposa Resort!


My room was right next to the pool and faced the beach. the breeze kept any insects away. everything about the place was clean and well-appointed! The towels were thick and long. My room had a frig, a lock box, and a wonderful shower!! The bed was comfortable and the bedside lights were bright enough to read at night. There is an on-site restaurant and the servers couldn’t be more delightful—both in their service (not too much and not too little) and the care that they took with me. The food was simply delicious!!! Yum! And the drinks were excellent! We borrowed the bikes for a ride into town. The bikes were in excellent working shape.

Best Resort in Belize!


Beautiful property! The pictures don’t do it justice. The owners are fantastic, they arranged excursions for us with the best guides, a massage on the beach, had a golf cart delivered for us to rent for the week, made sure every need we had was met- and then some! Our room was enchanting! The view was almost better. The chef made the most amazing dishes, the bartender treated us like family and made the best cocktails. Our room was thoroughly cleaned daily. The pool was pristine and right on the beach. The beach was very clean and had hammocks, seating options, umbrellas and tables for dining. We couldn’t have asked for a better escape. We are already planning a return trip.

Stunning and a 10 star resort


My wife and I made our first trip to Belize. We decided to stay at the Mariposa resort, This was the wisest decision every made in our life. The view was a 10 million dollar view, the room was clean and designed that any member of the royal family would had been proud to stay. Now for the best part. The service and staff was the most incredible experience we have ever experienced The food was beyond delicious and we were pampered and loved by a staff that brought us to tears when we had to leave them. Thank you for the loving and kind treatment that will be carried in our thoughts for the remaining years of our life. We and planned on seeing you again soon!

Unbelievable food, atmosphere, and romance!


I previously wrote a review of the restaurant and my wife and I loved it so much we attended for 5 more meals since then, the food is simply incredible! The serving staff Gladys and Carlos were awesome and always made sure our drinks were full with a smile on their faces. On our last night of our honeymoon vacation, the manager Donny set up a very romantic private table that was simply amazing. We had great wine, fish (Snook), and key lime pie for dessert (see picture below for how delicious this was!) Thank you so much for the amazing hospitality and the perfect end to our honeymoon, we’ll definitely be back again!

Amazing Stay at Mariposa


Our Treehouse was amazing! Great for a family. Loved sitting out on the deck, food was wonderful, and the staff was absolutely the best. They were super accommodating and even made sure that we made it home from Lobsterfest when it was tough to get a cab. We\'ll be back!

Loved our stay at Mariposa!


We absolutely loved out stay here. We had a treehouse which was perfect even though our kids are young teens. Lots of space with the bunk beds. Everything is clean and well taken care of. The grounds are beautiful! We can\'t say enough nice things about the wonderful staff that Lewis the owner has assembled. Donnie, Miguel, Gladis and Ricky and the others that we didn\'t get to know their names were AMAZING! Pool is great and we enjoyed the Ocean views. If we return to Placencia we will be back to the Mariposa!
