  • Sarah

I am one of a family of eclectic individuals whose common thread is woven into the rich tapestry of respect for our living earth and all beings.
Our beloved old homestead (I fondly call my hermitage) is just down the hill from the guest lodge. Here, for the past 20 years, I have been trialing various species of fruiting plants in a rambling, forest edge garden...Its a life's work of joy and of heartbreak.
As hosts we are perhaps best known for our laid-back hospitality ~ sharing good food, fireside stories, and plenty of strong, locally roasted coffee.

Great Host!

Beautiful property great host would highly recommend

Wonderful Place

Wonderful place. The house is beautiful and the surroundings are particularly gorgeous when the leaves turn. We were very comfortable and thought it was a great value. Also, one cannot ask for a better host. Sarah was quick to respond to the few problems we had, and made us feel very welcome.

This is a lovely property

This is a lovely property surrounded by nature and many lakes and hikes within 5-20 mins. It is a very isolated property and is on a well so expect a rustic experience. There is much wildlife to observe on the property. Sarah is very responsive and helpful, perhaps too many visits that were not expected for house maintenance. We experienced many unforeseen circumstances with house during our month stay that made it less pleasurable. Hopefully some mitigation will prevent future guests from experiencing any problems. We enjoyed the screened porch very much!!

Sarah was a super host

Sarah was a super host. The location is one of a kind, the pictures don’t do it justice. The kids had amazing adventures everyday, seeing foxes, frogs, fireflies, and hearing all the amazing birds. Produce stands, and beautiful places to see around every corner. Hope to stay here again.

Wonderful Place

The house is a wonderful place in the woods ready for a great getaway with a group or your family. Sarah was a fabulous host communicating well with us from booking to the end of our stay. She and Mark treasure the place and it shows. They were very responsive during our stay as well when we had questions. Our extended family enjoyed our stay celebrating our daughter’s graduation from UMass. We enjoyed quiet mornings on the screen porch looking out into nature and family game nights in the large open first floor. We’d definitely stay there again and enjoy exploring the area.

Great Stay

Wonderful long stay, great communication.

Incredible spot!

Large, roomy, great porch for sitting. All the amenities you would need in the kitchen. Sarah was easy to interact with, welcoming, and kind. We particularly enjoyed sitting on the screen porch and watching the wildlife.
