Javea is situated about half way between Valencia and Alicante on Spain’s beautiful ‘white coast’ or Costa Blanca. It has been officially classified by the World Health Organisation as “environmentally near perfect” with an ideal climate. There is a 10 month season and the area is ideal for golfers, walkers and naturalists in winter and the cooler months. There are 3 fine golf courses, tennis, horse riding, water sports, a few discos, and fine restaurants in the vicinity.
The villa is situated in Javea at Carrer de la Maduixera 35 in the area of Adsubia. As such it is ideally situated being a few minutes drive from the sweeping beach of Arenal with its golden sand and numerous facilities.
Only a little further away are the rugged and more tranquil coves and beaches which adorn the spectacular coastline between Cap de Sant Marti and Cap de la Nao and beyond to the beach and cove of Granadella.
A few minutes beyond the beach at Arenal is the delightful and working fishing port of Javea with its marina, fishing vessels and shops, bars and restaurants. From here a short stroll brings you to the old town of Javea which is quintessentially Spanish with its narrow lanes lined with handsome houses, ornamented with delicate stonework and wrought iron balconies and its fine fortified gothic church.
A magnificent backdrop to Javea is formed by the massif of Mongo [the elephant mountain]. The whole area of over 2000 hectares was designated a natural park in 1987 and over 600 species of wild flowers can be found within its borders, together with a great variety of birdlife including rare gulls and abundant birds of prey. Serious walkers will enjoy the demanding walk up the 753m summit which will reward one with sweeping view along the coast whilst the less energetic can enjoy several low level routes.
A little further away from the villa but only about 10 to 15 minutes drive is the town of Moraira with its marina, beaches, restaurants and shops.
