In keeping with the tradition of the Allagash our cabins are kept rustic yet very homey and comfortable. Our log lodge and guest cabins were all hand made on site with a combination of logs and rough sawn boards. The interiors are done up in knotty pine floors and walls, with braided throw rugs and hand made log and pine board furniture. Each cabin has an animal theme and is decorated to fit that theme. Our cabins have colorful names like the \"Bear\'s Den\", \"Fishing Hole\", \"Deer Yard\", and \"The Moose Crossing\". The cabins are equipped with kitchens for housekeeping and have propane stoves, sinks (hand carried water only), and all the pots, pans and utensils that you will need. Refrigeration comes from the ice that we provide for you.
Heat is provided by either wood stoves or propane furnaces. One cabin has a woodburning fireplace and is available on a first come first serve basis. The generator runs for about twelve hours a day, the cabins also have propane gas lights for after hour use. We provide a bottom sheet and pillowcases, you should bring along your favorite blanket and/or sleeping bag. Although the cabins do not have running water, we have a central shower house with separate men’s and women’s rooms. Each room has hot showers, flush toilets and sinks with electrical outlets for hair dryers and electric shavers. We do not provide towels you must bring your own.
Many choose to have their meals provided for them in the rustic atmosphere of our log lodge. We offer packages that include just suppers or all your meals or you can choose to provide your own meals in the privacy of your cabin. All of our cabins have a view of the lake and access to the lake from their cabins. All of our packages include the use of our rowboats, canoes and kayaks. Guests can enjoy swimming off the wharf or out to our floating dock. Some of our cabins are more isolated than others but we are the only cabins on the entire 375 acre lake. Your neighbors include deer, bald eagles, Raccoons, moose and yes bears. But don\'t fear we have not lost a guest yet!
