From its hillside location, the small village of Monasteraden commands striking views over the Lakes of Lough Gara, and beyond to the Plains of Boyle. Ideal as a stop off on a touring holiday or for longer stays, the lodge is very conveniently located to a large variety of local attractions, heritage centres, activity venues and parks, some of which are world class. The map below indicates our position (with a red star). It also displays the locations of these venues and can supply directions to them from the lodge.
