The Maya Lodge is a private home that can be rented in the village of Placencia in southern Belize. Unlike many other rentals, the Maya Lodge is located within the village and is easy walking distance from the beach (3 min), many restaurants along the sidewalk, grocery stores and specialty shops. Located on a canal, guests have boat access to the Caribbean, swimming and fishing directly from the dock. The house has two large bedrooms with queen beds, a sleeping loft, full kitchen and two bathrooms.
The Maya Lodge was built by an English ocean lover and displays much of the native wood and architecture of Belize. Both bedrooms are large and furnished with a double/queen bed. Each bedroom has a private full bath with hot shower. The furniture throughout the lodge is crafted locally from native Belizean hardwoods. Food can be purchased locally and prepared in the full kitchen.
Two hammocks are provided and can be set on the covered deck or on the upper crow's nest where the Maya Mountains and gorgeous sunsets are viewed. Swimmers can use the canal at the back of the house or walk to the beach in about 4 minutes.
