This charming pet-friendly log two bedroom vacation rental cabin is located in Valle Crucis in a picturesque country setting with rustic outbuildings completing the tranquil scenery. It would be a great vacation home for a family group since it has a nice yard for the children to play in and a small brook running through the property. The driveway is level too. There are a few stone steps that do not have handrails before getting to the 6 wooden steps going up to the porch, making it a little difficult for anyone who might be handicapped or have difficulty in climbing. On the front porch, there are rockers where you can sit and enjoy the scenic view of mountains and listen to the peaceful sounds of the brook. The porch wraps around 3 sides of the home giving you plenty of room to enjoy the outdoors. There is a charcoal grill on the deck, for your enjoyment.

When you walk through the front door of this cozy cabin, you will feel like you have stepped back in time, so plan to leave all your worries outside the door. In the living room there is a stone wood-burning fireplace, and the owner provides the wood for you. The living room has a queen sleeper sofa and a stress-free easy chair providing you with comfortable seating while watching TV, reading a good book or just snuggling in front of the fireplace. The dining room has a large family dining room table that seats 8 people. The kitchen has a little wood-burning stove adding to the charm of this cabin, wormy chestnut cabinets and an island giving you extra work space. The kitchen is equipped with a microwave, electric stove, coffeemaker, blender, 4-slice toaster and an electric can-opener. Near the kitchen, you will find the washer and dryer. There is also an ironing board and iron in the cabin, if needed.

On this level is a bedroom with a double bed. On the stairwell going upstairs, there is wormy chestnut trim, and the loft has a sitting area with a double-size futon and chairs, giving you another great place to curl up to read a good book. The master bedroom is also on this level that has a queen bed. This bedroom also has a TV. The 2 TV\'s in the cabin are on satellite and there is a DVD player and VCR for your viewing pleasure. A and W offers free DVD\'s and VCR\'s for our tenants. While the TV\'s do not get CBS, NBC or ABC channels, you probably won\'t care because you will be so busy enjoying the area and all it has to offer. Even though this home is a wonderful retreat, it is only a short drive from downtown Boone and the outlet mall and shops in Blowing Rock. Also, you are approximately 13 miles to the entrance to Ski Sugar and 15 miles to the entrance to Ski Beech.
