River Haven Cottage is nestled on the beautiful Shenandoah River with a spectacular view year round. The very name River Haven hints to its warm and cozy place on the river. Life at the cabin is very low key, just the place to relax and take it easy while having the full features of a home at your fingertips.
River Haven has two bedrooms with queen size beds, a loft with two twin beds and a queen pull out sleep sofa in the great room. The large great room has a stone fireplace with gas logs for those chilly fall and winter evenings. Also cable TV, charcoal grill and a fully furnished kitchen with dishwasher and microwave. We strictly enforce a no smoking/no pet policy.
The 1000+ square feet deck over looks the river plus there is a private boat dock that guest can fish off of. River Haven offers easy access to abundant recreational opportunities from canoeing, tubing and kayaking rentals nearby. Also many golf courses, tennis, miniature golf, horseback riding, go carts, hiking, antiquing, museums, wineries, dining, historic downtowns, battlefields, Skyline Drive, caverns and so much more.
River Haven has something to offer for all who visit. Charlottesville, Harper’s Ferry, Lexington, Richmond, Roanoke, Staunton, Harrisonburg, Fredericksburg, Williamsburg and Washington, DC are all within a 1 to 3 hour drive.
