Positioned in a calm,residential street canopied with tropical trees adorned with orchids, this is referred to by locals as the 'noble' area of Ipanema. Being to the left of Rua Vinicius de Morais this is seen to be the safest part of Ipanema, not being in the 'shadow' of any favela.Known as the 'Beverly Hills of Rio' due to the many telenovela stars who live here. Tom Jobim wrote the classic 'The Girl From Ipanema' song while living in this street in 1962(a plaque commemorates this at no.107). You are exactly parallel to and just 4 blocks from the legendary Post 9 on the beach. 2 blocks from the exciting shopping opportunities on the main thoroughfare of Rua Visc. de Piraja, and just 3 blocks from the Lagoa. Although taxis are plentiful and inexpensive, being so well located means you can walk to all the local culinary,cultural and nightlife attractions Ipanema is so famous for.You are assigned 2 parking spaces within the building which is useful if you hire a car or have Brazilian friends visiting.
You have here a great feeling of space, and a tremendous feeling of privacy floating above everywhere else in your own private world. Apart from great style,I think to have the rare combination of 2 entirely different outdoor spaces on separate floors together with contrasting and amazing views coupled with the location so close to Post 9 on the beach.All this and being a penthouse awash with natural light allows an ambiance that is pretty special.Ticks all the key boxes!

RATES: minimum rental period is normally 5 nights.The standard rate is UK£210 per day inclusive all taxes(high season rate,December 1 - April 30 is £239).There can be discounts available for longer stays. Electricity is free up to BR R20 a day (this is enough to cover moderate consumption).All other utilities are included.A one off charge of £55 will be added to your rate to cover cleaning costs on your departure.A security deposit of £300 will be required (returned to you within 5 days of your departure ,once the apt. is oked by my manager in Rio). Airport pick up service with a named driver in an air conditioned saloon car is available for BR R80 (R150 for a 8 seater mini bus),payable direct to the driver.This is significantly lower than the official airport car rate of BR R99! I urge you to take advantage of this great offer to facilitate your smooth arrival.Car hire with my driver available at very competitive rates. Parity R450/Buzios R350. Extra maid service is available at R90 for 4/5 hours. A 2 hour mini service is now available for R50. Please let me know if you require extra services at the time of booking. New Year and Carnival require a 10 day minimum booking,the rate being £4600 inclusive(full payment in advance in this instance only). A 50% deposit is required to secure a reservation,and payment in full must be made 30 days in advance of the booking.Payments may be made either by bank transfer(no charge within the UK,4% outside) or by PayPal (4% charge).

Yes, this apartment allows you to conjugate the verb Rio: I Rio, you Rio, she/he Rios, we all Rio!!! It offers indeed all you want to have during your holidays and more: - great location: yes Ipanema is much more trendier than Copacabana. The Posto 9 beach is as described a few meters from the apartment and...only for beautiful people. Restaurants, bars, shops abound! - perfect views on the Corcovado/Cristo Redentor, so romantic in the morning to enjoy your breakfast with sun and stunning views, even more romantic at night so sip a little caïpirinha with the pink illuminated Christ; - space & privacy: 2 terraces, 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 2 floors...what else? With a family of 4, this was perfect. Once the children settled down, we would enjoy a whole evening out at the top roof terrace - service: yes the owner is picky with his personnel and this is all for your comfort. Driver, manager, babysitter, doormen will do their utmost to accommodate all of your needs. I would say the height of chic is to have all this in a beautifully decorated flat. We really enjoyed staying here in Rio, would definitely recommend it and will come back. OBRIGADÃO ALASTAIR!!!
