Cottonwood Corner is two acres of gorgeous natural and cultivated gardens. Our guest house is situated on the sunny side where we grow most of our vegetables and herbs amongst beds of native and perennial plants. Our guests can relax on a bench in one of the quiet pocket gardens and enjoy our many resident birds taking advantage of the feeders located throughout the gardens.
Our vacation home is a short walk through a natural aviary that attracts several species of birds year round. The Guest House is a three bedroom, 1.5+bath home located in a rural neighborhood just outside of the Seward city limits. It is a 5 minute drive or twenty minute bike ride to the center of town.
The living room, dining room, kitchen, one bedroom (queen) and a bath with a shower is situated on the 1st floor. The second floor has two bedrooms (1queen, 1 king) with a full bath between. The kitchen is fully equipped and will be stocked with coffee, assorted teas and condiments. We will provide a free continental breakfast for the morning of the 1st day of your stay!
A front deck invites guests to enjoy Alaska's splendor with views of Tiehacker Mountain and the great Northwestern Forest, as well as the cultivated grounds and gardens that surround the house. A gas grill is available for your cooking pleasure.
Housekeeping Policy:
No housekeeping services will be provided during your stay. We will provide extra linens for guests staying more than three days.
Cottonwood Corner will be cleaned between guests. All linens will be exchanged (includes mattress covers, pillow covers, blankets, & quilts) as the house is prepared for your arrival .
While we hope that you will be able to take advantage of the wonderful fishing Seward has to offer, we do not allow fish cleaning at Cottonwood Corner. We can recommend a full service processor in town (packaging & mailing).
Here at Cottonwood Corner, we like to balance privacy with hospitality. We will assure your stay is comfortable and will be available to chat and tell an Alaskan story or two.
