This two bedroom luxury apartment has lovely views on to the mountains and is in a wonderful location for walking in the summer and skiing in winter. It is in a building, which is on the edge of the ski piste and has its own off-road parking, elevator, ski-storage room and sauna. The centre of the village of Dienten am Hochkonig, is about 10 minutes walk away. As the name suggests, Dienten is situated at the foot of the Hochkonig Mountain, about 1070 metres above sea level. With only 800 inhabitants the village has retained the charm of a small traditional Austrian village. The short distance from our building to town means that there is no need to use a car. The village contains both restaurants and shops.
The Hochkonig area has ski slopes, ranging from 860m to 1900 m. I The area has 33 ski lifts and more than 150 km of ski slopees. The Hochkonig area is part of the larger Ski amadé region. The same pass will cover you for the whole of Ski amadé. There is a choice of ski-hire shops and two ski schools.
In the summer there is an extensive range of hiking routes to follow with varying difficulty and length. Many start just minutes from the apartment. In addition to the fantastic views there are plenty of opportunities for those who enjoy picking mushrooms or berries.
Facilities:
Bedrooms: The main bedroom has a double bed with a large wardrobe and a glass door out onto a private terrace. The other bedroom has two bunk beds (good for kids) with a large storage facility for clothes.
Bathrooms: The apartment has a bathroom with shower, bath and WC and a separate WC.
Kitchen: The kitchen is open plan and well equipped with hobs and an oven as well as fridge and dishwasher.
A washing machine and tumble dryer are available for guests' use in the building. These are coin-operated.
Utility Room: There is also a small storage room with some board games for the children.
Living Room: The apartment has a large open plan living room that opens onto a balcony. The room is equipped with a L-shaped sofa, TV, DVD player, ipod docking system and a dining table that will comfortably seat six.
Cleaning/towels/linen/maid service: A cleaning and linen service is available on a weekly basis.
Internet: The apartment has its own wireless internet connection which guests can use.
Sauna: There is a sauna in the building that guests can use free of charge.
