Mare Blu's great floor plan, superb design, lighting, and finishes distinguish this spectacular rental villa overlooking Rendezvous Bay on St. John's southern coast. Built in four spacious pavilions linked together by generous outdoor living spaces, the sparking pool and tropical gardens, Mare Blue offers full air conditioning throughout the villa. Its excellent floor plan is designed so that all of the home's living space and pool is on one level. Six large bedroom/bath suites, a stunning indoor gourmet kitchen flanked by an outdoor kitchen dining and sitting area, and a beautifully-decorated Great Room and loggia are just a start at Mare Blu.
 
Mare Blu has six large bedroom/bathroom master suites, two located at pool level, three on the garden level and one in the pavilion above the grand veranda. All bedroom suites are beautifully furnished, air conditioned hideaways that take full advantage of their picturesque location. All the suites have flat screen televisions with cable. Bathrooms have double vanities, showers, and are tiled in grey granite from floor to ceiling. The Orange suite features an alfresco shower, Yellow a semi-alfresco shower and the Pink suite also offers a bathtub.
 
All of the villa's living space is on the main level of the main pavilion. The sunny Great Room, with two comfortable seating areas, provides a 55 inch HED, LCD, HDTV with cable, DVD player, movies, games and game table. A powder room, travertine marble from top to bottom, is conveniently located around the corner. Adjacent, the gourmet kitchen leaves nothing to be desired, even by the most discerning of gourmet cooks. It is well stocked with a large variety of glassware, stemware, dinnerware and cookware. The kitchen is decorated in rich colors of the Caribbean with custom cabinetry of exotic African makori burl wood, a wall of colored glass tiles. It has a large island with stainless steel prep sink and a screened pass through window which communicates with the outdoor living space. The kitchen is equipped to feed the masses with its top of the line stainless steel appliances, including a three door refrigerator/freezer, standard oven, microwave/convection oven and two dishwashers. Sliding glass pocket doors lead from Mare Blu's indoor kitchen to its outdoor kitchen. The outdoor kitchen provides easy service to the alfresco dining room and includes a professional gas grill, second oven, icemaker and generous countertop space. The dining room joins the covered outdoor living room resulting in one expansive outdoor living space with awesome ocean views every which way you turn. With an abundance of outdoor seating and lounging furniture this space is the true heart of the villa. Guests spend much of their time in the shade of the veranda enjoying the warm sea breeze and reading, listening to music, enjoying cocktails and conversation while taking in the beauty of the seascape.
 
The covered veranda flows directly into the sundeck and the infinity edge pool, surrounded by chaise lounges. In the poolside lounge there is an inviting pair of Dedon swivel chairs - built for two or three. The lounge contains a flat screen television with cable and DVD player. The 55 in flat screen can be viewed while afloat in the 48' pool. The thoughtfully designed lounge also includes refrigerator drawers for drinks and snacks, a closet filled with floats and pool toys, a powder room for convenience. Just next door, in the laundry room, guests will find a large stock of fresh beach towels. From one end of this amazing outdoor space to the other, the ocean views are framed with color and texture by a garden of tropical plants. Large pots overflowing with native plants punctuate the veranda with cascading color.

In order to reserve, at least half of your total payment is due within 5 days of requesting your reservation. Failure to make this payment subjects your reservation to possible cancellation without notice to you. The balance due of rent, Government Hotel Tax (12.5%) and damage deposit must be paid in full at least 45 days prior to your arrival. Only ONE credit card will be accepted from a rental party for villa payment. If you cancel more than 45 days prior to your arrival date, 80 per cent of your total rent will be refunded to you and 20 percent of your total rent will be retained by Mare Blu Villa as full liquidated damages. Cancellations within 45 days prior to your arrival date may be subject to forfeiture of 100% rental fee, unless we are able to rebook your rental dates. If your dates are rebooked, then you will be subject to a charge of 20% of the total rental fee. Refunds due to last-minute reductions in the total headcount originally booked will only be considered on a case-by-case basis when requested within 45 days of your arrival. Booking requests made within 45 days of your arrival require 100% to be paid within 24 hours of the request. Cancellations may be made by the Villa owner due to unforeseen issues with Mare Blu Villa, in which case Owners will offer a full refund or attempt to relocate reserved guests in a like-kind villa. ALL RENTAL RATES AND SEASON DATES ARE ALWAYS SUBJECT TO CHANGE. Rates listed do not include GOVERNMENT HOTEL TAX (12.5% for U.S. Virgin Islands) or the refundable damage deposit.

Mare Blu is simply stunning and serene.


\"Mare Blu provided a beautiful, serene setting for our recent 50th anniversary celebration with family. The manager met us promptly upon arrival and made us immediately feel at home. The villa was luxurious and so well-appointed that it would be difficult to want anything more. The large outdoor dining and indoor living areas created an atmosphere in which our family was able to enjoy memorable conversations and meals together without interruptions. And, the opportunity to enjoy a cup of early-morning coffee on the patio or to swim under the stars in a pool overlooking the ocean was priceless. The downside of this trip was that it was far too short. A week just wasn\'t long enough to fully experience the beautiful scenery and uncrowded beaches that St. John has to offer. Perfect place to stay for a dream vacation!!


Mare Blue was the perfect spot for us to vacation with friends and family -- absolutely stunning views of Rendezvous Bay in a quiet and convenient location. The residence was fantastic with all the amenities we could hope for: lovely modern home, gorgeous infinity pool, spacious private bedrooms and bathrooms, full kitchen and outdoor gas grill, 2 washer/dryers. Teri and Bernie were very hospitable and helpful throughout the whole experience, always available when we had questions, even when it was just a suggestion for a great restaurant! Will definitely return for the next trip to St. John and would absolutely recommend to anyone for a truly wonderful vacation experience.

Best vacation rental ever!!!!!


Our extended family (13 of us) were looking for a great place to celebrate my Father\'s 75th birthday and my wife was lucky enough to stumble across the Mare Blue website. The spectacular pictures on the web site convinced us that this would be a perfect location, but believe me that they can\'t come close to capturing the true beauty and magic of this wonderful villa. We had committed to rent the villa and the transaction was completed, but once the owner knew that the entire trip was to celebrate my father\'s birthday, she was so helpful and kind; she basically became our travel agent and helped make all the plans as simple as possible for us. We had such an unbelievable stay at the Mare Blue. The views are amazing, and the house is spectacular. We couldn\'t have asked for more. My children and my sister\'s children will forever remember our wonderful trip to St. John and we dream of a return to the Mare Blue. Thank you Teri & Bernie.

Ultimate Relaxation!


I stayed at Mare Blu with my boyfriend and our friends the week of July 4, 2015. It was truly the trip of a lifetime. Walking in to the house for the first time is almost (almost) the best part: the expansive view of the Caribbean, the huge infinity pool, and the numerous amenities Mare Blu has to offer will take your breath away. We spent a while walking around the property and taking everything in—before jumping in the pool! Our stay in St. John was the perfect mix of activity and relaxation. We made trips to several beaches, went on some beautiful hikes, and spent more than a few happy hours in Cruz Bay. Having Mare Blu as a home base to return to was always such a great feeling. Couples could retreat to their bedroom suites for privacy, or we could socialize in the great room or in the veranda by the pool. The space is perfectly constructed to allow for both togetherness and alone time. Reading a book by the pool was my favorite activity, while my boyfriend enjoyed watching sports from the pool (yes—the pool faces the ocean on one side and a large-screen TV on the other!). We even spent a couple of days just relaxing at the house all day and cooking at home. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare full meals; you will not want for anything while at Mare Blu. We played poker from the games provided, watched movies while floating in the pool, and made pina coladas to sip on while we cooked on the grill. This trip was nothing short of magical, and Mare Blu’s opulent yet relaxed atmosphere played a large part in our experience. We will definitely be back!

Stunning property, unmatched views, every amenity


Our group (9 friends) stayed at Mare Blu in May 2015. We had a fantastic time and Teri was very helpful before the trip in arranging activities, a private chef, and taxi transfers. The villa is beautiful, with every amenity you could want – beer fridge by the pool was a big hit, as was the outdoor TV for the playoffs! Check in was very easy and professional, taking no more than 15mins or so. The house was immaculate and perfectly arranged for a large group. There is so much space that we all felt very comfortable and relaxed there. The pictures are exactly as shown on the website and the house location is perfect. Far enough from town to have beautiful, untouched views across the island, yet close enough for a 10min taxi ride into the center of town. The northern beaches were also not that far away – maybe 15-20mins in total. Chico’s Taxi (Mitch Samuel at 340 690 6507) was on call for us the entire time and always just a phone call away. Chef Johnny B (jrbluzbag (at) yahoo (dot) com) was fantastic and the food was cooked at the villa’s professional indoor/outdoor kitchen to perfection. The villa has every single thing a professional chef needs, and easily caters to large groups looking for a relaxing night overlooking the stunning views. Checkout was also easy, with a wonderful cleaning crew arriving exactly on time. We couldn’t have been happier with our stay at Mare Blu and would be happy to act as a reference for any future guests. Teri and her husband have built a fabulous home here, and it is the perfect vacation villa.
