Amazingly Wonderful Vacation!

Our stay at Casa Rubia exceeded all our expectations! We chose Casa Rubia for a family reunion (ages 7 - 70) and we will glow in the warm memories created during this get together. We flew into Huatulco airport and enjoyed the easy ride that lasted just under an hour. It gave us the opportunity to take in the picturesque countryside. On arrival we were warmly met by the property managers and the 6 staff members and a delicious refreshment. The villa was spotless and very well maintained. The open concept of the main living area is very comfortable, with a stunning view of the pool, grounds and beach. Each of the 6 bedrooms is very well appointed with their own sitting area, huge bathrooms and patios - your very own private space. Each room has it\'s own A/C unit - we never used ours as the temperature was perfect at night. The villa is magical at night. The grounds are carefully manicured. The beach is very clean and extends for miles and miles each way. You feel like you are on a private beach as we saw very few people - locals and vacationers - all with a warm greeting and smile on their faces. The service provided by Manuel, Maria, Jesus, Laura, Sarah and Miguel was impeccable. They made sure your every need was met without being intrusive. They went above and beyond always with a warm smile on their faces. They made getting around Puerto Escondido and Zicatela very easy by driving us or organizing extra transport if we could not fit in one car. They did all the shopping for drinks and fresh food everyday. Every meal was mouth-watering and they were very flexible with any requests we had e.g. vegetarian. Casa Rubia would not be as special without the dedicated service of the managers and staff. The managers and staff were very helpful in offering and arranging excursions for our group. We went on several fishing trips, baby turtle release, mangrove tour, dolphin tour and surfing lessons - all great. We also went into Puerto Escondido and Zicatela on our own several times - what great places to wander around with great restaurants and a great beach. There is a lovely night market in Zicatela with no pressure to buy and filled with authentic handmade Mexican goods - some good street food too. To top it off, you will never feel unsafe here. The location of the Villa is in a hidden gated oasis. The people in the towns are genuinely warm and welcoming. Thank you Sarah and Scott for all you did to make sure we had the best time ever!

Fantastic!

Our group had an excellent time at this great vacation destination. The property is situated in a very nice little gated community and is very well maintained. The open layout enabled our larger group to socialize amongst ourselves and also with the very friendly house staff. The bedrooms also offer plenty of privacy when you want to take a break from the festivities. The management group that runs this property was also very friendly/knowledgeable and hooked us up with some great activities both at the house and around town. The house staff is really the jewel of this location. They take care of everything you need (in some cases, before you even know that you need it.) and prepared some of the best food we\'ve ever eaten. They know all of the best places to obtain fresh food for the meals, and where to take you in town for the best views, deals, activities, etc. We would definitely book Casa Rubia again!

Best Birthday party everb

This has to be the best family vacation we have ever done and it had the added bonus that I got to celebrate my 70th birthday too. We were 16 people, eight adults, eight children and the house was more than big enough for all of us.. I must say that besides the house being so beautiful, it was the staff that added to our great time.. Cesar, Ramiro, and the ladies were so attentive to our every need and more than happy to go out of their way for us.. The food was outstanding, even the kids loved it!! Puerto Escondido\'s beaches are up there with some of the most beautiful in the world!! There was nothing not to love!!! Thanks to all of you who made it so much fun!! we would go back again and again.!

What a great house!

Casa Rubia could not have been better! The description was spot on, exactly as expected. The property was VERY well maintained and clean, not a smidgen of dust to be seen. Yvette, the manager was so great and helpful with everything. The staff Cruz, Ramiro, Sergio, Anna (cook) Macarena and oh dear, I can\'t remember the other women\'s name but all were fabulous. We had all meals at the house and each was lovely. Breakfast (usually something with eggs) and lunch were served buffet style; while dinner was plated and served at the large lighted table. Our group of 13 (6 adults and 7 kids) enjoyed being \"out of the action\" of town. Several went to Carizalillo Beach for surfing lessons each day. The ladies had a shopping afternoon. Each trip into town was in the house suburban or in a taxi (too many to fit in one auto), but they would stay with us until we were ready to head back to the house. I felt very comfortable and safe, both at the house and in town. I have travelled extensively through the country of Mexico and this house/staff/management are in the top 5 of what I have experienced. Stay at Casa Rubia, you will not regret a single moment.

Beyond breathtaking!

Casa Rubia absolutely blew me away! I had high expectations, and they were exceeded. The view of the ocean was amazing, the rooms were extremely well kept, the water (both pool and ocean) was perfect and the food was exquisite ... I just can\'t say enough good things! Clint and Yvette were excellent hosts and made our stay very memorable. Their staff provided an elite level of hospitality that I\'ve not experienced anywhere else. Casa Rubia was amazing, as was my experience in Puerto Esondido. A hidden gem that provides an authentic experience of Mexico, friendly locals, and one of the most beautiful vacations I\'ve ever been on. Everything about my stay was magnificent.
