On our way to Toco, we stopped off at Salybia Beach Resort for lunch. We had no reservations but we were welcomed to participate in the tasty buffet lunch comprising of chicken, fish, lamb, macaroni pie, salads, and other sumptuous dishes and desserts. The drink of fruit punch was complimentary.
I purchased a day pass which included my spa treatment, use of the pool are and free lunch. My spa treatment was very relaxing. I had a seaweed wrap and aromatherapy massage. After that it was time for lunch and I had the best ital (vegetable) soup ever. Absolutely delicious!!! I ate other things of course. They feed you quite well. The pool area has to be the highlight of this place because it looks the beach and abundant trees and plants. Very beautiful place to unwind and listen to the live DJ. Life size chess and checkers and a bar to keep you entertained.
My husband & I stayed here over a weekend as a mini honeymoon/getaway trip after our wedding. Extremely friendly staff. Ats we entered, we were greeting with a staff member who took our bags in & directed us to the front desk. At the desk, we were surprisingly upgraded (regarding our room). Reason; unknown; didn\'t ask. lol The food was really good! Upon realizing that we only eat halal. The chef called our room, asked what else do we eat & offered to make us a shrimp dish & for us to say our names at dinner where she brought it out to our table. We were very appreciative of her taking the initiative to prepare a complete separate meal for us! PROS: -Great views of the beach; especially when standing on the waterfall lookout point. -awesome pool & waterfall into the pool; very scenic. - Delicious food & variety/ you are served the main courses & they give great portions! Dessert & non-alcoholic drinks are at your disposal & yes, you can take as much as you like! CONS: - rooms kind of outdated & small, but very clean -no in-room wifi but it\'s available in the lobby & somewhat in the dinning room area. - Location; doesn\'t seem like much is around but we didn\'t care for that as we merely wanted to stay & relax.
I arranged an overnight stay at Salybia for my husband\'s birthday and we had a great stay. The staff members were very helpful and courteous, the room we got was clean and had an amazing view, the food was good (we had the breakfast and dinner option) and the pool was awesome. I was hesitant at first because of all the negative reviews, but I\'m really glad that we decided to go. Thanks Salybia.......we will be back again soon.
Was there this weekend and the place was clean and nice. Staff were willing to assist and food was very good. I took the breakfast only option and it was really great. Pool was clean. The place seem to be have been renovated recently and was very good. Cons: No hair dryer per room but u can ask the front desk for it No fridges in the room. But you do get coffee and tea in your room. Advantages: Wonderful spa. Ask for sabeena she treated me very well. Hotel front desk and manager was also willing to assist in any way necessary. Place is very family oriented and very good.
