My wife grew up in Austria and I was raised in Florida and we both love the tropical climate and the Caribbean. We have traveled the world and sailed to many of the Caribbean islands but fell in love with Turtle Beach on St. Kitts. Although our children are on their own, they take any opportunity to visit us on Turtle Beach.William & Elisabeth Pinckard purchased this villa in 2008
Our stay at Villa Alamandra was wonderful. The house is just as lovely in person as it is in the pictures. It is a bit remote but that was part of the charm for us. We did find a car to be a necessity. Even driving on the \'wrong\' side of the road was OK! We drove to Reggae Beach Bar and really enjoyed their Friday night Lobster Fest - some amazing food! We also had great dinners at Rock Lobster and the Pavilion. We spent quite a bit of time just lounging by the pool and enjoying the scenery as well as daily visits by the Vervet monkeys - so cute! The owners were extremely helpful. They provided us with so much information and were a pleasure to work with.
We had a thoroughly enjoyable week at Villa Alamandra overlooking Turtle Bay and neighboring Little Boobie and Nevis Island. The house was perfect with steady breezes, plunge pool, lovely kitchen , master bedroom which overlooks the bay and ocean . It is rather remote but we desired that...it has a sense of wildness...craggy mountainside lots of birds and even a troop of vervet monkeys visited the grounds to our delight one afternoon! The 3/4 mile dirt road that leads to the development has many serious potholes and puddles from the frequent yet fleeting storms...it would be nice to see the road repaired. Otherwise we had a wonderful stay....we loved Reggae Beach...saw squid and an octopus, barracuda, trunk and trumpet fish during our snorkeling. Pavillion Restaurant at Sandy Bank Bay was a favorite and Ian, Claudio, Ervin and Erickson were so kind to us. Lobster night (Friday) at Reggae Beach was delicious ! It was a very pleasant stay and a lovely property with a very helpful manager, Hector, who stocked the house with food ahead of time and a very responsive owner who kept us apprised of what to expect and all that is available in this rather remote, pristine, elegant area of the Caribbean..
The Turtle Beach Villa was a beautiful and relaxing place to stay. Everything is as described. The property was very clean and well-maintained. We would highly recommend this place to anyone.
This home provides a fabulous view of Turtle Bay and Nevis from the back porch overlooking the pool. There is a wonderful breeze that flows through the porch - makes for great mornings watching the sun rise and evening meals \'al fresco.\' It is on a private portion of the island, so no crowds or traffic - yet, there are several good restaurants within 5 minutes. We enjoyed the island activities and then returned to a peaceful home listening to the waves and birds. Added bonus, if you enjoy snorkeling and have your own gear, on the right side of Turtle Bay is a nice small reef (there are a couple others but they are further out). Finally, we rented a car from Dwayne Hector (the property manager) - he will meet you at the airport - the whole process is seamless and Dwayne is great to work with. The property owners (as well as the on island management) are very efficient and thorough and it was a pleasure to work with them!
This home has everything you need for a perfect vacation. Views are just incredible from virtually any area of the home. This home had everything to keep both my elderly parents and children happy. Very quiet setting which is perfect for relaxing. As a side note - the property manager rents vehicles and I would suggest this.
