Sit out on the patio for breakfast or a sip of wine and enjoy the great weather in Alameda. Free parking on site. Master bedroom has 1 queen bed; 2nd bedroom has 1 full size and 1 twin bed. Both bedrooms have large mirrored closets. Modern kitchen with microwave, dishwasher, electric stove/oven, new refrigerator, garbage disposal, coffee maker, electric kettle and all linens/paper goods provided. Walking distance to beach, shopping center, and Park Street shopping district with many ethnic restaurants, interesting shops and art deco restored multi plex movie theatre. There are multiple transportation options to get to San Francisco including a very scenic 20 minute ferry ride to the city; BART trains and frequent express bus service. You can even "share ride" with commuters in the morning from several pick up points! Go like a native!.
Nicky and Eddie are a dream to work with. The house was spotless, well stocked, quiet, and inviting. The location was perfect. I wholeheartedly recommend this home.
My husband and I and two teenagers had travelled half way across the country staying in one room in hotels. So we were glad when we arrived and had a spacious, clean, brand new two bedroom apartment for the same price as one hotel room. Having a kitchen was great ( shops close by) and everything you needed was provided by the hosts from tea cups to toiletries. Our hosts were there with a smile to greet us and some excellent local information about the ferry to San Francisco Bay ( 20 min ride), restaurants, and a much needed bottle of wine. Alameda island is a quaint seaside town, safe and easily walkable. Even the drive into San Francisco (30-40mins non rush hour) was easy. If we are ever in town again we\'ll be staying here!! This cottage is bright, airy and clean. It has all of the amenities you will need and is well stocked. The owners are wonderful - very friendly and helpful - they really helped us to navigate around San Francisco and offered very useful information as to transportation, directions, places to eat, etc. The location is quiet and peaceful but close to restaurants, shopping, and public transportation. We had a wonderful stay!
