The charm of the 1900’s bare wood walls, including a vaulted ceiling and skylights, is merged with fully modern conveniences for a very comfortable and relaxed stay. The fouton in the living room opens into a full size bed which is in addition to the full size bed in the bedroom. There is a full size refrigerator and four burner stove in the kitchen area and all the utensils to prepare and serve a meal for four (should you choose). The picnic table in the front of the cottage is a great place to have your morning coffee and breakfast and enjoy the birds feeding nearby. Heat is available should it be needed. Wireless Hi-Speed internet access is included. One dog is permitted, no cats.
What a wonderful way to spend a weeks vacation! This lovely cottage is located in a little community of cottages and is a few minute walk to two of the best bakeries on the Cape, PB Boulangerie and The Blue Willow Bakery! An early morning walk to either for great coffee and pastry or breakfast sandwich is a must! Right next door is the General Store which has everything, even fruit and produce from the area! And next to that is a bike rental because the bike trail begins at the end of the lane! All within walking distance! Wellfleet center is just a quick drive where you can take in the Saturday evening Gallery stroll or taste a variety of food in the various restaurants or walk across Uncle Tim\'s Bridge! Even though the cottage is just off route 6, the sound of traffic is not invasive and diminishes during the night. This is a small cottage, great for a couple. It is covered in warm knotty pine with windows that open and hook up like a sailing vessel! The owner is amiable and has provided everything you could possibly need in the kitchen. It isn\'t close to a beach so you need to get a beach pass or ride your bikes to nearby beaches. I highly recommend this cottage!
We\'ve been renting this lovely Wellfleet cottage every summer or early fall since 2004, and it\'s one of the best finds we\'ve ever had. The perfect spot for a couple or small family who wants a beach vacation at a nice place with a full kitchen, it\'s clean, comfortable, and well- maintained, with excellent amenities (nice flowers and garden outside, WiFi, cable TV, AC, a small outdoor grill). It\'s conveniently right off Rte 6, minutes by car to beautiful local beaches and to town center), but still tucked away in the woods next to Drummers Cove enough that you don\'t hear noise from the main road. Frank Hopp, the owner, has been a pleasure to deal with, too. We love his Drummers Cove cottage and can\'t wait to go back.
The cottage was what we expected--cute, cozy, and clean. And very nicely set up with just about everything one might need on vacation. The property owner is exceptionally nice and very accommodating. We\'ll go back and we\'ll happily recommend this cottage to anyone we know who is heading for the Cape.
