We have been to Belize many times but this was our first stay at Seagrapes Cabana. This property was very well thought out and maintained. The grounds were beautiful, there were hammocks on the beach in the shade and the cabana had everything we needed. We met one of the owners and he was very nice and accommodating. There was a very useful information booklet inside the cabana giving you everything you need to know for your stay. I will refer my friends to this cabana when they go to Belize. Great location, great cabana and great beach!
We can\'t say enough about our stay at Seagrapes. It was our first time in Belize but certainly won\'t be our last. Seagrapes Cabana was exactly what we were looking for to explore the area. From hiking in the Jaguar Reserve to Mayan ruins, our trip to Belize was a nonstop adventure. Our highlight was the bioluminescent tour on kayaks. Roi and Antonella go above and beyond in making your stay comfortable and have loads of advice on what to see. If you\'re looking for a well-appointed quiet place to chill for a few days, Seagrapes is perfect!
As soon as we arrived we felt so comfortable as Roi and Antonella were so helpful and friendly. The cabana is in such a beautiful setting and it was nice to be on a quiet stretch of beach - their part of the beach is immaculately kept. The marina and Mangoes bar are within walking distance. A great place and we\'ll definitely be back. 5 stars all round!
This was our first stop in Belize and we were not disappointed. We arrived late and it was completely dark out, but Roi was more than accommodating and welcoming. He provided us with great tips for the local town and things to do/see. The property itself has one side that faces the ocean and despite it being stormy during our stay, we loved our stroll up and down the beach. The Sittee River Marina is almost right in back of this property and definitely worth checking out, especially if you want to take a river tour or see the bioluminescent lagoon that Roi recommends (it was a highlight of our stay). The guest house is well kept and offers everything you need to enjoy your time in Hopkins, including about 15 geckos as your welcoming committee (they are the local bug control at night). We highly recommend this place for couples looking to get away and stroll the beach to some wonderful Garifuna music!
Seagrapes is awesome! It was perfect for us and we had a great time. Roi & Antoinella are charming and very accommodating. The cabana was very clean and right on the beach. We had a 2WD SUV which made the bumpy dirt road in Hopkins very easy. The town itself is lovely and peaceful and beautiful. It was easy to get to and easy to get around. There\'s lots to do from here! Snorkel at the Cayes, scuba, quick drive to the jungle for hikes and waterfalls, and a quick drive to Placencia for more tourism. It really was the perfect place to stay in Belize!
