Welcome to Heron's Nest! This unique and beautiful property consists of two adjacent oceanfront cottages that are rented together as one unit. With 3 bedrooms in 2 separate cottages, Heron's Nest is the perfect setting for 2 couples or a family.
Heron's Nest is nestled amongst the Pines on a steep hillside overlooking the Damariscotta River. This serene and dramatic setting provides the perfect backdrop for your Maine vacation. Along with the incredible sights, you will also hear the sound of the surf crashing on the rocks below, and experience the ocean breezes while relaxing on the oversized deck.
Cottage 1 features charming knotty pine walls and soaring ceilings. It has 1 bedroom and 1 bath and has been fully renovated and professionally decorated. The bedroom is gorgeous and has beautiful views right from the cozy queen bed. The kitchen is well equipped with stainless appliances including a full sized stove/oven, fridge and dishwasher. There is also a hi-def flat screen Smart TV that has cable, Netflix and Amazon Prime.
Cottage 2 is adorable and is also loaded with charm. It has 1 bedroom with a queen bed, and an open loft with a futon. There is a kitchen with an camp sized oven/stove, small fridge and microwave. There is a full bath with a tub and shower combo.
Both cottages feature fine "Cuddledown" linens. There is also wifi throughout and a washer and dryer.

The property is located on King Phillips Trail which is only 5 miles to Boothbay Harbor, yet is one of the quietest neighborhoods in the area. The scenic 2 mile long road meanders along the shoreline and ties directly in to the Linekin Preserve which offers an additional 3 miles of hiking trails. This is the perfect place for someone who likes to jog or walk every day. There is also a community dock for water access that offers a place to launch kayaks or watch the lobstermen take in their haul.
Important Accessibility Notes: The hillside location of the cottages makes for a unique and stunning setting, but does require a walk from the parking area of about 50 yards along a boardwalk. Therefore the cottages would be difficult to access for those with mobility issues. The cottages may not be suitable for families with young children as there is a steep unfenced drop-off to the ocean below
