Villa Trepanier is one of only two houses available for rental in this unique area of the island located an 8-minute walk along the ocean front to all the main town has to offer: shopping, grocery and liquor stores, fruit market, waterfront restaurants, bars, etc. Upon your arrival you can enjoy the content of the complimentary gift basket.
 
“Villa Trepanier” is a modern & large (2200 square feet),  3 bedroom 2.5 bathrooms with AC in all the rooms & living area. This quiet, modern, glass-walled, the villa is bright, very spacious, airy and located just 30 feets from the crystal blue waters edge. This villa is perfect for ocean lovers & particularily divers, as we are 75 steps form Dive friends Bonaire yellow submarine the island flag ship dive center. The is a large  pool located in the back of the Villa. 
 
Emmanuelle, our Property Manager, can meet you at the airport unless you decid to get the key in the locked box by the door. Emmanuelle, will explain how to use the locks, air conditioning and safe, and give you a complimentary cell phone that you may use to contact her or make local calls for the duration of your stay.
 
Inside, the villa is bright with sunlight permeating the main living room and front porch, lots of air flowing, clean and modern, cool stone floors, leather couches, new TV, and wood table accenting the granite kitchen. The Villa has 3 bedrooms set up with queen sized beds. Since an additional single bed ca be installed in the master bedroom, you can sleep 7 in 4 beds.  A baby crib and high chair are available.
 
There are 2.5 bathrooms. The master bedroom has its own privat complete bathroom. The second largest complete bathroom is shared; communicating with the middle room and the third larger room. Both bathrooms have walk-in showers.  
 
There is also an outdoor shower on the patio for rinsing after a swim or dive. The hammock & rinse bines are very appreciated form our divers community. 
 
Dive Friends, a PADI 5 Star IDC Dive Center that caters to divers of every skill level and age, is less than 50 meters away.  As a resident of our villa, you will enjoy a 15% discount on diving services. Of course, you may also step out of the villa and go straight into the ocean for breathtaking shore diving right out of your front door! The  house reef is called something special.
 
The sea life is amazingly diverse right in front of the house and fish can be fed by hand in just 4 feet of water!  If you swim 35 meters out from the shore of the house, the bottom drops off quite fast and turns into a wall dive pretty quickly!
 
Magnificent soft hued sunsets are the evening norm. The quality of the light is magical in Bonaire & can be enjoyed from the patio with a glass of wine. 
If you like eating fresh local fish, just walk a 100 meters down to the fishing docks and befriend a local fisherman. 
The front patio view is fantastic just few boats on moorings and pastel coloured sunsets, all framed by coconut trees with the backdrop of Bonaire’s white beached, uninhabited Klein Island.
For a few dollars a local will ferry you across the 1000 meter wide Bay to Klein Island where you can lazily beach comb & explore its desolate and untouched white sandy beaches. 
For the kids,  there is a pool behind the Villa, and the beach in front of the house has no surf, (it’s the leeward side of the island) and no strong current to fight as well.
 
For exploring the island, a rental car, quad, scooter or bikes can be rented to enjoy the warm sunshine and predominant trade winds.  We usually rent a scooter from  Bonaire scooters; for an average  20$ to $35 per day for a weekly rental. Scooters are safe as no one drives very fast and there is virtually no traffic, only one or two traffic lights on the whole quiet little island.

For windsurfers, Lac Bay is a 20-minute ride from the Villa. One of the best locations in the world to get your ride on, Bonaire’s Lac Bay produces many of the top pro windsurfers on the planet.  Lac Bay’s azure clear water, flat and shallow, along with its friendly white sandy bottom and famously consistent sea breezes, make it the ideal place to perfect your jibes and freestyle moves. That’s why it's called Jibe City. 
 
You may also enjoy kitesurfing (we offer a 10% discount voucher at Bonaire Kitesurfing) and renting SUP’s (stand up paddle boards) for exploring Lac Bay. Every time we go on the water, we see amazing new representatives of the diverse collection of wildlife in the ocean.
 
The majority of the island is undeveloped with the north end protected as a national park.  The island is home to wild donkeys, goats, iguanas & flamingos which have been surviving on the islands since it was first “discovered” (while inhabited by local Indians) by the Spanish over 500 years ago. When you drive around, make sure to bring leftovers and feed the wild donkeys and goats roaming about.
 
Bonaire is one of the safest islands in the Caribbean. It is peaceful and the antithesis of a tourist trap, unlike many other islands.

Bonaire is quiet and very safe, the locals are super friendly, gracious, respectful and make everyone feel like one of their own. I love to windsurf, kitesurf and snorkel, and Bonaire offers some of the best snorkeling spots and year-round conditions in the world. One of the best spots is actually right in front of the house! The water temperature is in the mid 80's and remains stable year-round. The water is really at the perfect temperature.Edithe Trepanier purchased this Villa in 2008Why Edithe Trepanier chose PlayaI wanted a house in the Carribean that I would enjoy visiting when I needed to get away from the daily grind of life. Bonaire is always warm and my beautiful home is right by the water. Villa Trepanier is less than 15 meters from the edge of the water and a short walk away from the boardwalk and from all the main activities the town has to offer. I rarely rent a car as I prefer to go everywhere by walk or by scooter. Waterfront bars, restaurants and shops are all at a short distance.

Perfect location! Beautiful view of the water!


The property was perfect for our party of seven. It was clean and comfortably set up. There was an issue with the toilet in one of the bathrooms, but Daniel the property manager was notified and planned on having it repaired when we left, sparing us the unavoidable odor issue. I would definitely recommend this Villa.

Fantastic vacation at Villa Trepanier!


A perfect guest experience; From the minut we exited the custom we where taking care of; Janny & Daniel where kind & helpful, we had great communication with the them prior to our arrival as well as with the owner, the villa was nicer & larger than the photos, a nice welcome basket was very appreciate & the 15% discount voucher at dive friends is just a great bonus ! We will be back to villa Trpanier as its now our number 1 best place on Bonaire.

Fantastic & very spacious villa & a perfect location on the Island


Villa Trepanier was just perfect for our group of 5 We could have been more as the villa is large & spacious, a few steps from dive friends yellow submarine ,where we enjoyed 15% discount thats always appreciated. The snorkeling is just amazing just out the front door, so many different species of fish & some large ones too ... The villass Manager was available, smiley & very helpful in finding good restaurants & activities for non divers. The welcome basket upon our arrival at the villa was awesome as we where all pretty hungry after our flights. We will return for sure to Villa Trpanier this is the best villa we rented on Bonaire so far ! BMD

Lovely oceanside villa


We enjoyed our stay at this villa in Bonaire. Flora, the property manager, was very helpful during our stay. Villa Trepanier was lovely and well appointed as described. Only surprise was the coin operated laundry elsewhere in the complex rather than in the villa.

Fantastic House, Fantastic Location


Villa Trepanier was perfect for our group of 6. Clean, comfortable, very conveniently located 2 doors down from Dive Friends Bonaire- Yellow Sub. Owner / manager were excellent to work with, very responsive and willing to get us some buckets for camera and gear rinsing. Location next to Yellow Sub makes gear rinsing and tank swapping a breeze. The location makes walking to downtown restaurants, gelato, etc a lovely evening stroll along the waterfront. This house is in an absolutely perfect location. The only downside to this house is lack of gear storage lockers, so plan on drying / storing gear in the very spacious living room. There is a drying rack and clothes hanging rack that works perfectly for this, and with the size of the living room we never felt like we were tripping over gear (even with 6 divers). We would absolutely stay at Villa Trepanier on a future trip to Bonaire, and highly recommend it.
