My property is located on the popular Golden Zone in Mazatlan; we live in a very safe, quiet and clean neighborhood but very close to all the amenities anyone may need. We are three minutes from the main avenue where you can find the beach, restaurants, shops, pharmacies, hospital, and public transportation. We -the owners- live here, so there is always a friendly environment if you need any information about Mazatlan. Our property is very clean and we treat our guests with friendship and respect. We strive to make their vacation comfortable and enjoyable.
About AliciaI, Alicia lived in Arizona 35 years before moving to Mazatlan. I love to travel and fell in love with Mazatlan the first time I came in 1986. Since then we vacationed here often and we knew this was a place I could feel at home once retired. My house and the patio is big, I we enjoy having guests every season and have met very interesting persons from Canada USA and other countries. Some have turned into special friends who keep coming back. I was an investment banker for 25 years in AZ, so the peaceful feeling of looking at the ocean every day is worth the move.Alicia purchased this Apartment in 2005Why Alicia chose Las GaviotasMazatlan is still a bargain compared to other coast cities with good climate in Mexico. It is a complete city with all modern amenities but also with history and culture. if you like to spend your time on the beach, they are beautiful; but if you want to know more about Mexico and it's culture, music, theater, food, etc., Mazatlan has everything any city can offer, and it's people is very friendly.
We were so sad to leave our Mazatlan home because it felt just so comfortable. Alicia, our hostess was amazing and we felt totally secure in her care. Our Casita was comfortable, clean and functional and the outdoor patio lovely and a place to gather with Alicia and the other guests to eat drink and be merry. We thank Alicia for our first drive to get groceries, to arranging our taxi trip back to the airport (sadly). Alicia is the hostess with the mostest! We miss you already and hope to be back.
Hi Alicia! How are you? Thank you for a wonderful stay in your home!! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and all what Mazatlán had to offer. Thanks also to Kikki for the ride to the Luna Palace following our stay with you. Thanks to cyber space keeping your tex from us, we just got it when we returned home, we did not know that you were back from Arizona, we would have stopped by and met you in person!! Ditto what everyone else has said about your property, great location, clean, homey, convenient, etc.....Thanks again and hope we get to visit your beautiful city soon... I spent quite awhile here at this B&B and found it to be absolutely one of my most memorable trips...I was excepted into the family as if i had never even left my own home... Of which it offered me lots of extras i haven\'t found at any other B&B..Also offered were other services such as local maid services which included laundry and room cleaning at a very low expense to me...
Alicia is a force of nature. Her suites are clean, charming and close to the beach--all good--but it\'s Alicia\'s enthusiasm and charm that makes the stay. You won\'t find a better guide to Mazatlán and surrounding towns.
The room has a lot of conveniences that helped make my stay more comfortable. A kitchenette, refrigerator, dining table, plenty of chairs and a desk. The owner was very nice and accommodating. I thought I would need to go to a market first thing to stock up on water, but there was a jug already waiting for me, large enough that it lasted the whole week. The patio is spacious with a great rooftop view of other homes in the Golden Zone. The location is convenient, just a few blocks away from the main strip where you can find many restaurants and gift shoppes, or catch a pulmonia (taxi) to other areas on the strip. Overall, a great experience, I would stay again.
